Scottish Renewable Directory is a trading name of Scot Energy Efficiency Ltd, company number 17408629, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. What personal data we collect
When you use our enquiry form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your postcode
- Your property type (residential or commercial)
- Your primary interest (solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, etc.)
- Any additional notes you choose to add
We only collect the information needed to respond to your enquiry and arrange a survey or quote. We do not collect special category data (such as health information) through this website.
Why we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry — we use your contact details to call or email you about your renewable energy requirements.
- To arrange a site survey or quote — we use your postcode and property details to plan a survey through one of our MCS-certified installer partners.
- To pass your enquiry to an installer partner — with your consent (the checkbox on our form), we share your name, contact details, postcode and requirements with an MCS-certified installer partner so they can contact you directly. We only share with the partner relevant to your enquiry and your location.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry data for 24 months from your last contact with us. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will do so within 30 days. Installer partners who receive your enquiry are responsible for their own data retention under their own privacy policies.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are only placed after you give consent through our cookie banner.
